100% Loureiro from biodynamic viticulture of the sub-region of Lima (Ponte de Lima)

Producer Tiago Sampaio founded his label in 2007 after completing his PhD in viticulture and oenology in Oregon. Tiago is an advocate of sustainable viticulture and the production of natural wines along the Douro. He cultivates vineyards in the Cima-Corgo sub-region between 500 - 700m above sea level - a mixture of inherited old field cuttings vineyards and new plantings, where he crosses the border Alvarinho - which actually comes from the Nordic Minho and is used for the Top Vinhos Verdes - has planted.
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and the wines are made with minimal human intervention in a 6-month aging on the fine lees.

The wine is pressed barefoot in "lagares" (granite barrels) according to old tradition and then remains on the skins for 3 days. No sulfur is added. Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in oval cement tanks and used chestnut barrels. No fining and no filtration.

citrus notes Crème fraîche in the mouth, lavender in the nose. Contact with the lees gives the wine some weight, depth and creaminess, but this is balanced by the fruit attempting enough tangy acidity to provide liveliness.

Goes well with mussels, sushi, spicy Asian dishes.

A young, seductive wine, particularly suitable for the warm season. Serve nice and cold, preferably between 6 - 8 °C.

The wines of the "Uivo" series are produced by Tiago Sampaio at an average altitude of 600 meters above sea level in the high altitudes of the Douro Valley. The grapes grow on the family vineyards.
The entire manufacturing process is carefully monitored and controlled, mixing knowledge acquired over generations with new scientific developments. The result is complex wines, mysterious and seductive, of great gastronomic versatility.

Delivery times

Unless a different deadline is specified in the respective offer, the goods will be delivered domestically (Germany) within 5 to 7 working days.
If you have ordered items with different delivery times, we will send the goods in one shipment unless we have made different arrangements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item you ordered with the longest delivery time.

Where do you ship to?

Delivery is currently only in Germany and Austria.

With which shipping service provider do you ship?

We currently only work with UPS or DHL. You will be asked to select a delivery method during the ordering process.

How long does it take until I receive my order?

That depends on where you are. Orders to Germany take 3 to 5 working days to arrive. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.

How can I track my order?

After your shipment has left our warehouse and has been scanned by the carrier, you will receive an automatic e-mail overnight with tracking information.
