We have been working with Adega do Monte-Branco in Estremoz, Alentejo for 10 years. This winery was our first supplier of wines from Portugal and over the years a real friendship has developed.
Luís Louro and Inês Capão work at the Adega do Monte Branco have been working together as a team for over 10 years. They are both trained and talented oenologists and since 2015 the two have been bringing out "signature wines" as a kind of "challenge" under the label "LOUca" and "LouCA", in which each autonomously (without their winemaker colleagues) produces their own "Vinho Alentejano" - Interpretation produced.

  • For LOU ca Tinto 2015, Luís LOU ro is the oenologist and
  • for lou CA Tinto 2015, Inês CA pão is the oenologist

For louCA Tinto 2015, Inês Capão chose Aragonez, Alicante-Bouschet and Trincadeira. The harvest is manual with full destemming and the grapes are pressed in granite basins (lagares) with feet and co-fermented together.
It is a very aromatic and unique wine. In the mouth it is fresh and elegant, with good aromas of ripe fruit. Very demanding and with very good aging potential.

The Adega do Monte Branco (The Wine Cellar of the White Mountain) is run by Luis Louro. Luis is a young, modern winemaker full of passion, who was born into his trade: his father Miguel is also a winemaker. He runs Quinta do Mouro, which maintains a more traditional heritage.

After 6 years of apprenticeship with his father Luis Louro, he traveled to California to further expand his knowledge of modern viticulture. Back in his homeland, he gathered a young team of enthusiastic professionals around him and built up a modern winery with the Adega do Monte Branco in the middle of a dreamlike landscape. Together their mission is to produce accessible, quality wines with a modern profile, from predominantly Portuguese grape varieties.

Adega was founded in 2006 and is based in a modern building complex in Estremoz. The estate produces wines from its own vines and those growing on leased land: vines of the Aragonez, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet and Touriga National (for red wine) and Roupeiro, Arinto and Antão Vaz (for white wine) varieties grow on 25 hectares of slate and clay soils.

The "Alento" wines are the first and most important line of the house. They carry the typical character of the Alentejo wines: they are modern, full of character and convince with an excellent price-performance ratio.

The following conditions apply:

Delivery is currently only available in Germany, Austria and Denmark

Shipping costs (including VAT)

Deliveries to Germany with UPS, DPD, Hermes or DHL.

We calculate the shipping costs based on the order value (gross value of goods):

  • Goods value up to €80.00 = €8.95 with DHL, €6.95 with DPD, Hermes or UPS
  • For orders over €80.00 (after deduction of all discounts) we offer free shipping.

Shipping of heavy orders

For orders with a total weight of more than 10 kg, we reserve the right to ship exclusively via the shipping service providers DPD or UPS. This measure serves to ensure a reliable and efficient shipping process for heavier shipments.

We ask for your understanding for this regulation, which enables us to ensure smooth shipping even for larger order quantities.

Deliveries to Austria and Denmark

We calculate the shipping costs based on the order value (gross value of goods):

  • Goods value up to 149.99 € = 15.00 € (UPS)
  • For orders over 150.00 € (after deduction of all discounts) we offer free shipping.
Delivery times

Unless a different deadline is specified in the respective offer, the goods will be delivered domestically (Germany) within 5 to 7 working days.
If you have ordered items with different delivery times, we will send the goods in one shipment unless we have made different arrangements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item you ordered with the longest delivery time.

Where do you ship to?

Delivery is currently only in Germany and Austria.

With which shipping service provider do you ship?

We currently only work with UPS or DHL. You will be asked to select a delivery method during the ordering process.

How long does it take until I receive my order?

That depends on where you are. Orders to Germany take 3 to 5 working days to arrive. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.

How can I track my order?

After your shipment has left our warehouse and has been scanned by the carrier, you will receive an automatic e-mail overnight with tracking information.

Can I return products?
