Linden blossom honey has a very characteristic, balsamic and lasting menthol aroma.

Its strong taste is reminiscent of the scents of linden undergrowth in bloom.

It is the most suitable honey for sweetening herbal teas and tea.

Thanks to its unique taste characteristics, it goes perfectly with melons, apricots or peaches.

Try also apple compote with linden honey, a delight! Linden honey has been known since the dawn of time as a medicinal product with calming and soothing, digestive, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

It is suitable for nervous and insomniac people. In fact, it has a recognized use for treating insomnia disorders.

Flavonoids, an important source of antioxidants, as well as farnesol, an active ingredient, are responsible for the calming effect of this honey.

Linden blossom honey has been valued for centuries for its medicinal properties, especially as a powerful antioxidant. Its delicate taste and floral aromas make it ideal for sweetening hot drinks and desserts. It is also known for its soothing effect on the throat and its effectiveness in treating sore throats and coughs. The honey is harvested in the forest.

In France, we harvest linden honey in the Chantilly forest, where our bees collect the nectar of the small-leaved linden trees. This honey has a distinctive taste, typical of the Paris basin. The name "Chantilly" could come from the Latin "campus tiliae" ("linden field"). Every year, we bring hives from Fontainebleau to Chantilly to produce linden honey.

Linden honey has a strong, balsamic mint aroma and a rich flavor reminiscent of flowering linden trees. It is great for sweetening herbal teas and tea. Its unique flavor properties harmonize well with melons, apricots, fish and even apple sauce. In sweet and sour cuisine, it goes well with lamb and chicken, and it also tastes delicious on bread.

Manufacturer

The name Un apiculteur près de chez vous emerged in 2007 from the merger of two beekeepers, Rémy Vanbremeersch and Bruno Petit. They chose this name to remind Parisians that there is a beekeeper near them in Paris. Beekeeping mainly produces honey, pollen and beeswax. Queens and swarms are also bred to improve and expand the bee population. The two beekeepers operate 400 hives in Ile-de-France, 250 beehives and 400 micro-fertilization baskets for queen renewal.

The majority of the bee population is located near Fontainebleau in the Gâtinais French Regional Natural Park. During the season, some of the hives are sent on the move: to the Chantilly forest to harvest linden honey, to the Essonne for buckwheat honey and to the Marne for alfalfa honey. The company also has more than 60 beehives in Paris. Parisian honey is harvested in very different locations such as gardens, company roofs or the Bois de Vincennes. The urban honeys are fragrant and reflect the surprising botanical diversity of their surroundings. The city is planted with numerous linden trees and acacias, but also with Sophoras and Evodias.
