The illegitimate son and the legal heir united in a tasting box: the Conceito Bastardo and the Legítimo, two red wines from Rita Marques Ferreira from the Douro. There is definitely tension in the air between the rebel and his conformist compliant brother. Which we also find in the glass!

The Bastardo is obtained from the Bastardo grape, which is characterized by a strikingly light color. Warm herbal and cherry notes, very elegant and light with subtle tannins. It grows on 30-year-old vines on the Quinta Chão do Pereiro that Rita's grandfather planted there and there are only 5,000 bottles of this vintage worldwide!

The Legítimo consists of the three classic red Douro grapes Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. It is a wine of joy, friendly, intense and with depth. A perfect companion at the table. Velvety, with a long finish and goes well with cheese, pasta, pizza, salami...

Anyone who is interested in the wines from the Douro Valley cannot ignore Rita Marques Ferreira. She is currently one of the most highly traded new generation winemakers in this region. Their wines regularly receive the best ratings from international wine critics.

Rita's family has been growing wine in the upper Douro for several generations. She learned her craft in Bordeaux and then worked as a “flying winemaker” in New Zealand and South Africa. Now she has returned to her roots and holds the scepter of the winery firmly in her hand.
An impressive 85 hectares of vineyards are cultivated by hand at an altitude of 500 meters. The approach is generally very close to nature and consciously avoids the use of herbicides and systemic plant protection products.
She sells part of the harvest to other wineries. Every year she selects the best vineyards for her own winery and produces elegant, fresh wines with lots of freshness and minerality. Everything is well thought out because Rita has a concept. Hence the name: Conceito.

The following conditions apply:

Delivery is currently only available in Germany, Austria and Denmark

Shipping costs (including VAT)

Deliveries to Germany with UPS, DPD, Hermes or DHL.

We calculate the shipping costs based on the order value (gross value of goods):

  • Goods value up to €80.00 = €8.95 with DHL, €6.95 with DPD, Hermes or UPS
  • For orders over €80.00 (after deduction of all discounts) we offer free shipping.

Shipping of heavy orders

For orders with a total weight of more than 10 kg, we reserve the right to ship exclusively via the shipping service providers DPD or UPS. This measure serves to ensure a reliable and efficient shipping process for heavier shipments.

We ask for your understanding for this regulation, which enables us to ensure smooth shipping even for larger order quantities.

Deliveries to Austria and Denmark

We calculate the shipping costs based on the order value (gross value of goods):

  • Goods value up to 149.99 € = 15.00 € (UPS)
  • For orders over 150.00 € (after deduction of all discounts) we offer free shipping.
Delivery times

Unless a different deadline is specified in the respective offer, the goods will be delivered domestically (Germany) within 5 to 7 working days.
If you have ordered items with different delivery times, we will send the goods in one shipment unless we have made different arrangements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item you ordered with the longest delivery time.

Where do you ship to?

Delivery is currently only in Germany and Austria.

With which shipping service provider do you ship?

We currently only work with UPS or DHL. You will be asked to select a delivery method during the ordering process.

How long does it take until I receive my order?

That depends on where you are. Orders to Germany take 3 to 5 working days to arrive. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.

How can I track my order?

After your shipment has left our warehouse and has been scanned by the carrier, you will receive an automatic e-mail overnight with tracking information.
