Fruity, spicy wine with aromas of black cherries, raspberries and blueberries, graphite, pepper, herbs and scorched earth.

A deep, full-bodied wine, powerful, intense and refreshing, with sweet tannins and a slightly mineral note on the finish. Handcrafted with love by one of the most promising young winemakers in the Southern Rhône.

The Cairanne from Domaine Roche consists of 65% Grenache and 25% Syrah and 10% Carignan, which grow on a plateau above the village of Cairanne. The selection comes from the oldest vines on the property, which are on average 50 years old and have very low yields (30 to 35 hl / ha).

Half of the Syrah grapes mature in barrels and half barrels that are at least one year old, the Grenache is aged in thermoregulating concrete tanks and the Syrah in barriques and the demi-muids typical of the Rhône region.

The duration of the expansion is 10 months.

Despite its relatively high alcohol content, this wine does not seem heavy, but is easy to digest and impresses with its fruity, spicy aromas.

Goes well with: vegetarian dishes but also poultry, beef, game, pork and lamb, as well as cheese, pasta and pizza.

Domaine Roche extends over 20 hectares of land planted with vines averaging 50 years old, with very deep roots that allow them to take the best of the soil and express it in the wine.

The vineyards are located in the south of the Rhône Valley, in Cairanne, on a clayey and calcareous terroir. The wine grows partly on the “Garrigues” plateau, whose soils are made of red clay pebbles, ideal for the cultivation of Grenache and old Carignan, and partly on the “La Montagne” terroir, a hilly landscape with white limestone and limestone Clay soils and a southern exposure ideal for growing Syrah. The harvest is done exclusively by hand and the selection already takes place on the vine, so that really only the perfect grapes are used for wine production and there is as little contact as possible with damaged grapes.

Each plot is vinified individually: the Grenache in thermo-regulated concrete tanks, the Syrah and Carignan in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks.

The fermentation lasts between 20 and 25 days and takes place at temperatures between 24 and 26 °C. The subsequent aging extends over a period of 6 to 8 months: the Grenache in cement tanks, Syrah and Carignan in stainless steel tanks.

Ein ausgezeichneter Wein voll satter Frucht und Geschmackstiefe, in schöner tiefroter Farbe. Passt ausgezeichnet zu Lamm und auch zum Käse.

Where do you ship to?
